Your Reading Level System

Select the reading level you use in your classroom to see the appropriate information whenever you view details about a book. If you're not signed in, you will need to reset this preference each time you visit the Teacher Book Wizard. Sign in to have this preference remembered on future visits.

BookAlike^TM

Have you ever asked a librarian or bookseller to suggest a book that's like another one you've read? BookAlike^TM gives you that same personal service. Scholastic worked with teachers, librarians, and reading experts to carefully identify themes, topics, instructional purposes, and other attributes for each book in our database, so you can easily find books to replace or supplement a work you're teaching.

Quick Search

Enter all or a portion of an author’s name, a book’s title, or keyword, then click the Search button to find books fast.

Leveled Search

Use any or all of the available criteria to find the right book. Choose from Interest Level/Grade, Reading Level, Type of Book, Topic/Subject, Genre, and Teaching Resources.

You may also specify your preferred language (English or Spanish), and whether you prefer to be shown only books that are available for purchase.

My Book Lists

Create book lists to keep track of your favorite books, from week to week, year to year. Select "Save to a Book List" and follow the steps to create a new list.

List Exchange

Share book lists with colleagues, administrators, parents or students online. Copy a book list created by another user, and modify it for your own teaching needs. Access ready-to-use book lists from educators, authors, and others.

Buying Options Are for Educators Only

Products in the Teacher Book Wizard that are available for purchase may be ordered by educators only. This is how Scholastic helps teachers save on classroom materials. Scholastic has arranged exclusive educator-only pricing for these items. Upon placing an order, you will be asked to provide proof of your educator affiliation. Non-educators who wish to order a book may check its availability in The Scholastic Store Online.

Save a Copy to My Book Lists

A copy of this list will be added to your saved book lists with the word “copy” added to the name of the list by default. You can rename your book list to suit your needs.

Enter the percentage of sales tax required by your state. State law requires that sales tax be added to your order unless we have a sales tax exemption certificate on file. If tax has been added to your order and you are exempt from sales tax, please fax your sales tax exemption certificate to Scholastic Inc. 1-800-560-6815 or mail to Scholastic Inc. 2931 E.
