The first in the series. The students are able to follow Luke through many more books.
A Boy at War: A Novel of Pearl Harbor
My boys love this one. I tell them how the main character and his friends had front row seats in the attack of in Pearl Harbor because they were fishing there when the Japanese attacked.
The girls love this! They build a love/hate relationship with Massie and her friends.
The students are easily hooked in this one when I tell them the guys find a dead man when they are camping.
Great book because the girls can relate to the stereotyping.
Dovey gets accused of murdering her sister's ex-boyfriend which creates loads of suspense for the kids.
We read this as a class and it is the favorite of the year!
This one starts off slow but once it gets going, it is great!
My boys love this one. They get hooked early on and actually look forward to reading!
